Following the Premier League game against Leicester City at Vitality Stadium, a number of AFC Bournemouth’s players have now jetted off ahead of the latest set of international fixtures.

At senior level, Jermain Defoe, Nathan Ake, Brad Smith, Ryan Fraser, Asmir Begovic, Joshua King, and Harry Arter have all been called up by their respective nations and could feature in key FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Key games over the coming weeks see Ake’s Netherlands facing Belarus and Sweden in UEFA Group A. With just two games remaining, the Dutch are currently in third position in the group, three points adrift of Sweden.

Begovic and Bosnia and Herzegovina find themselves in a similar position, knowing the importance of their final two Group H games against Belgium and Estonia.

Defoe’s England need three points from their two remaining Group F games against Slovenia and Lithuania to be sure of qualification.

Meanwhile, at under-21 level, Joe Quigley, Lys Mousset and Lewis Cook have been called up, whilst Aaron Ramsdale and Connor Mahoney named in the England Under-20 squad.

Mark Travers has also been called up to the Republic of Ireland Under-19 squad.
