David Brooks and Nathan Ake were the only AFC Bournemouth players in international action throughout the course of Friday’s fixtures.

The Cherries midfielder played the full 90 minutes, but was unable to prevent Wales from slipping to a 2-1 home defeat against Denmark.

Brooks did however impress throughout the course of the game, creating several chances for both himself and his side.

The results means that Ryan Giggs’ Wales side miss out on promotion to the Nations League’s top tier.

Elsewhere in the UEFA Nations League, Ake appeared as an injury time substitute for the Netherlands in their 2-0 win over France in Rotterdam.
