AFC Bournemouth AFC Bournemouth

The nominations are in for August's Goal of the Month award, as sponsored by Strategic Solutions.

Players from each of the club's leading teams as the club enjoyed a promising start to the 2023/24 season.

David Brooks scored his first goal since August 2021 when he found the net against Swansea City in the Carabao Cup, receiving Jaidon Anthony's stunning pass and arrowing an effort into the bottom corner.

The women's team scored 15 goals in two games in August but none were more stunning than Elle Elkins' effort against Selsey, the 13th goal of a memorable afternoon. Her strike from long-distance couldn't have been sweeter and picked out the top corner.

Michael Dacosta Gonzalez became a history maker as he netted AFC Bournemouth's first-ever Professional Development League goal at under-21 level. The forward won a free-kick at Coventry City and stepped up to find the back of the net.

In the under-18s, young Zambian forward Kash Kasukumya has made a brilliant start to life in James Lowy's team with two goals in August. His finish against Peterborough United came following an excellent team move that highlights the philosophy that runs throughout the club.
