AFC Bournemouth Women recorded their seventh straight win on the weekend, with a 7-2 scoreline against Wokingham & Emmbrook.
A Chloe Tape hat-trick, combined with goals from Rosie Eden, Sian Tilly, Aimee-Rose Collier and Emma Davis all contributed to a 7-2 win away from home.
The Cherries started strongly, hitting the bar in the first couple of minutes, but it wasn’t long before the deadlock was broken.
Eden was on hand to put Steve Davies’ side ahead, after being played through by Tape to finish in the area.
Just two minutes later, the Cherries won a corner which was taken by Collier, before Tilly flicked on a header goalwards for 2-0.
However, the hosts did pull one back, as Kaz Patterson intercepted the ball from a clearance and finished neatly to half the deficit.
Yet, with 27 minutes on the clock, Tape played a great ball over the top for Collier, who hit it as it bounced first time into the top right-hand corner.
With the two-goal lead restored, the Cherries were buoyed and soon got their fourth, with Tape grabbing the first of her goals with a low shot to the keepers’ right giving her no chance.
Just before the interval, Patterson got her second of the game for Wokingham & Emmbrook, once again capitalising on a stray ball to stroke home.
After the break, the visitors enjoyed plenty of possession in the hunt for a fifth.
On 57th minutes, their efforts were duly rewarded and it was Davis who found the back of the net from Eden’s pass.
It was then over to Tape who added a sixth, with an excellent solo effort topped off with a neat finish.
And to round off, the 24-year-old completed her hat-trick six minutes from time from the penalty spot, as Eden was put through and tripped by the Wokingham & Emmbrook goalkeeper.
Following the game, manager Davies spoke of his delight at the performance.
“I was delighted to keep our winning run going” he said.
“I was really pleased with our second half goals in particular, two of which were worked up field from the defence."
