AFC Bournemouth’s challenging start to the new season continued as they were beaten 2-0 by a revitalised Tottenham Hotspur at Vitality Stadium on Saturday.
Former Australia and Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou has revived the North London club’s fortunes since arriving in the summer, Spurs extending to three games their unbeaten start.
The visitors triumphed thanks to goals either side of half-time from James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski with Philip having the Cherries’ best chance on the stroke of half-time.
Maddison bagged his first goal for the club following his summer move from Leicester City in the 15th minute before Sweden international Kulusevski doubled their lead midway through the second half.
