AFC Bournemouth wrote a new chapter in club history thanks to a convincing 3-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion at Vitality Stadium on Sunday.
Goals from Marcos Senesi, Enes Ünal and Justin Kluivert ensured the Cherries would register their highest points total in the Premier League.
Victory saw Andoni Iraola’s team climb into tenth place with 48 points, passing their previous best of 46 in 2016/17 when they finished ninth.
The Cherries also matched another top-flight club record of six successive unbeaten home games, set between May and October 2018.
Senesi drew first blood with a close-range header after 13 minutes before Ünal marked his full Premier League debut with his second goal in the competition seven minutes after half-time.
And Kluivert completed the scoring three minutes from time with a finely-executed goal after being picked out by Ryan Christie’s pass.
