AFC Bournemouth finally broke their City Ground jinx, winning at the famous venue for the first time in their history.

Goals from David Brooks and Phil Billing earned the Cherries a 2-1 victory as the visitors triumphed at Nottingham Forest at the ninth time of asking.

Scott Parker maintained his unbeaten start as head coach as the Cherries followed up their Carabao Cup win over MK Dons and their 2-2 draw with West Brom with a first Championship victory of the season.

Brooks drew first blood for the visitors with a finely-taken goal after 28 minutes, the winger adding to his double against MK Dons.

And although Scott McKenna headed Forest level three minutes after the break, Billing struck to restore the Cherries’ lead in the 58th minute.

Parker’s team were forced to play the final 30 minutes with ten men after goalscorer Brooks was sent off for picking up a second yellow card, ruling him out of Wednesday’s visit to Birmingham City.
