AFC Bournemouth suffered a second successive 1-0 defeat as Championship rivals Derby County triumphed at Pride Park.
Krystian Bielik bagged the only goal as Wayne Rooney celebrated his first win as permanent manager of the Rams.
Rooney was appointed at the end of last week following a spell in interim charge and saw Bielik settle the contest in favour of the hosts in the 32nd minute.
