Travers joins Swindon Town on loan

AFC Bournemouth goalkeeper Mark Travers has joined Swindon Town on loan until the end of the season.

The Republic of Ireland international has made nine appearances between the sticks for the Cherries, with his debut coming in a 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur at Vitality Stadium in May 2019, as well as starting this year's Championship opener against Blackburn Rovers.

Travers will now link up with John Sheridan's side for the remainder of the campaign, the side currently sitting 23rd in League One.

He will feature alongside former Bournemouth striker Brett Pitman, who has made 16 appearances in all competitions for the Robins this season.

The 21-year-old previously enjoyed a loan spell with Weymouth in the 2017/18 season, making 26 appearances for the Terras, as well as scoring a sensational long-range winner on his debut.
