Team news: No knocks, waiting on Lerma

Scott Parker has said his side have no fresh injury worries as he prepares his squad to return to action away against Bristol City on Saturday.

A number of squad members have been away on international duty and are now returning to the club, though the head coach says all have come back in good condition.

"At the moment no knocks," Parker said in his pre-match press conference. "We're still waiting on Jefferson Lerma, he plays tonight so he's going to be a late one but everyone else at this moment in time is fit and well.

"Some have come back a little bit late, some have arrived back this morning. We'll check over them a bit more closely on Friday and then we'll go from there."

Junior Stanislas could be involved with the squad after recovering from his hamstring injury, while Lewis Cook continues his building back to full fitness after his long-term knee injury.

The midfielder successfully came through his first competitive minutes last week when heĀ  played the first 45 minutes with the Development Squad in their Premier League Cup draw with Arsenal.

For the players not going away with their national sides, Parker feels his staff have given them the right balance of hard work and relaxation as they get set for the next group of Championship fixtures.

"We've worked tirelessly during this international break," he said.

"I think we've found a balance of working hard but also recharging and freshening things up a little bit, hopefully we can start off where we left off before break and keep on that track of winning games and gaining points."
