Scott Parker has been awarded the Sky Bet Championship Manager of the Month award for September.

The head coach led the club to four wins and one draw in our five matches in September, securing wins over Barnsley, QPR, Cardiff City and Luton Town.

The Cherries are the only side to remain unbeaten in the Championship this season and currently sit at the top of the table.

Parker told afcb.co.uk: “Credit for this award must go to my staff, my players and everyone connected with the football club for the hard work that is being put in every day.

"September was an excellent month for the club, staying unbeaten in this division is no mean feat, and I’m pleased with how we’re performing and we're aiming to keep building and improving throughout the season.

"I’d also like to say thank you to our supporters for the incredible backing that we’ve been given home and away this season, it makes a huge difference.”

Parker was nominated for the award alongside Blackpool's Neil Critchley, Sheffield United's Slavisa Jokanovic and Derby County's Wayne Rooney.

Meanwhile, defender Gary Cahill was voted the club's Player of the Month for September, sponsored by Michael Matthews, securing 38% of the vote.
