Team news: Late call on Solanke

Scott Parker revealed the Cherries would make a late call on Dominic Solanke's fitness ahead of this weekend’s fixture with Arsenal.

The prolific forward missed last weekend's trip to Manchester City through injury and is doubtful for the televised visit of Arsenal on Saturday.

The Cherries head coach also confirmed that summer signings Ryan Fredericks and Joe Rothwell would again miss out.

Speaking to the assembled media ahead of this weekend’s game, Parker said: “The team news will probably be similar to last week.

“Dominic Solanke is a maybe, we’ll have to assess him tomorrow and make a call.

“It’s too early for Ryan Fredericks and Joe Rothwell to come back in. Otherwise, everyone has come out of last week's game well.”

When asked whether new addition Marcos Senesi could make his first start against the Gunners on Saturday, Parker admitted it was a possibility.

He expanded: “Marcos came in late last week and I didn’t think it was the right game for him to come into, he’d barely had any training with the group.

“He’s had another week of training and is in a better place to come in at the weekend. We’ll see where we are tomorrow, and I’ll make the call on him.

“He’s in a better position this week in terms of the training he’s done and the work he’s had to do.”
