Ref Watch: Bobby Madley in charge of Cherries opener

Bobby Madley will be the man in the middle as AFC Bournemouth travel to West Bromwich Albion on the opening day of the season.

The 31-year-old officiated 30 Premier League fixtures last season, handing out 126 yellow cards, two red cards and awarding 12 penalties.

Madley took charge of two Cherries games last term, with the memorable 4-3 win against Liverpool the first and the dramatic 3-2 victory over West Ham the second.

This season, the Yorkshireman, who was promoted to the FIFA referee list last year, has already taken charge of the Community Shield between Arsenal and Chelsea, as well as a Europa League qualifier featuring Fenerbahce.

On Saturday, Madley will be assisted at the Hawthorns by Marc Perry and Adrian Holmes, with Roger East the Fourth Official.
