King on target in Norway win

Joshua King is off the mark for Norway this season as he netted in their 2-0 UEFA Euro qualifying win over Malta.

The hosts came up against a stubborn Maltese backline but it took 33 minutes to break the deadlock, with Sander Berge heading in following a long-throw routine.

But King was on hand to all but secure the win by adding a second a minute before the break.

Even Hovland was fouled in the box and the Cherries striker stepped up and found the corner convincingly.

Elsewhere, Mark Travers and Philip Billing were both unused substitutes in their UEFA Euro 2020 qualifiers against Switzerland and Gibraltar.

King and Billing will have another opportunity to impress for their countries on Sunday 8th September - Norway take on Sweden while Denmark will face Georgia.
