Injury news: Latest on Brooks, Kelly and Neto

AFC Bournemouth interim head coach Gary O’Neil says Neto won’t make a return for the Cherries before the World Cup.

The Brazilian shot stopper picked up a hamstring injury against West Ham United and missed the weekend defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.

Elsewhere, the Leeds United trip will come too soon for David Brooks and skipper Lloyd Kelly – Kelly hasn’t been in a matchday squad since the stunning comeback victory over Nottingham Forest in September.

O'Neil said:“We’re the same as we were on the injury front.

“I think it comes too quick for Lloyd Kelly and too quickly for David Brooks. Lloyd is making big strides, the World Cup break might come too soon for him but we’ll have to see on that one.

“I don’t know if we’ll see David Brooks before that break.

“Neto will miss out on this one and won’t play again before the World Cup.”
