AFC Bournemouth fell victim to a second-half comeback as Premier League counterparts Wolverhampton Wanderers triumphed 2-1 at Vitality Stadium on Saturday.

The Cherries reached half-time leading 1-0 thanks to Dominic Solanke’s 17th-minute opener, the striker scoring with a delightful back-heel from a Philip Billing cross.

However, the visitors restored parity just two minutes after the break when Matheus Cunha swept the ball into the back of the net after fastening on to a pass from Pedro Neto.

The Cherries were reduced to ten men when Lewis Cook received a straight red card for violent conduct following a coming-together with Hwang Hee-Chan after 54 minutes.

And despite defending heroically, they were beaten when Saša Kalajdžić came off the bench to grab the winner for Gary O’Neil’s team two minutes from time.
