Dennis rewarded with new contract

AFC Bournemouth rising star Will Dennis has been rewarded for his progress with a new contract.

Teenage goalkeeper Dennis has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal at Vitality Stadium.

The 19-year-old, who is part of Eddie Howe’s first-team squad, has flourished under the tutelage of goalkeeping coaches Neil Moss, Anthony White and Gareth Stewart.

Dennis trains regularly with Aaron Ramsdale, Artur Boruc and Mark Travers and is also eligible to play for the club’s under-21s.

He joined the club, aged 15, in the summer of 2016 having spent his formative years on the books at Watford.

Dennis impressed during his time with the academy and penned his first professional contract in January 2018.

He enjoyed fruitful loan spells in non-league with Weymouth and Guernsey and was promoted to the first-team ranks at the start of the 2019/20 season.

Dennis has travelled with the first team on several occasions and was invited to attend a training camp with England under-20s earlier this season.

AFC Bournemouth chief executive, Neill Blake, said: "Will has made huge progress under our goalkeeping coaches and is fully deserving of this new contract.

"He is a very talented young player with a bright future ahead of him, if he continues to apply himself in the way he has been."
