December Player of the Month nominees announced

After seven matches in an action-packed December schedule, the player of the month nominees have been announced.

Now we're asking you to vote in our Twitter poll to ensure your favoured candidate wins the award.

The month started with the 3-2 home defeat to Preston but soon picked up speed with three wins in a five match unbeaten run that also included five clean sheets and a spell of eight hours and 29 minutes without conceding.

A fine team goal came in the 2-1 loss at Brentford as the Cherries finished the month and 2020 in the upper echelons of the Championship.

Here's a rundown of the four players in contention to gain your vote for the Player of the Month award.

With three goals across the month, it was a terrific December for Junior Stanislas. The winger flashed in a free-kick against Preston, scored a stunning solo goal against Huddersfield and pounced to net a second-half winner against Wycombe.

Looking to hold on to the award he won in November, it's been another brilliant month for Asmir Begovic. The 'keeper marshaled his defence to five straight clean sheets for the first time in the league in close to 30 years, pulling off a string of stunning saves along the way.

Continuing to shine, Lewis Cook started all seven Cherries matches in December. In a deeper role this season, the midfielder has combined tigerish tackling with sublime passing to pose unending problems to Championship opposition.

Dominic Solanke has been nominated again after plundering four further goals in December - netting on the stroke of half time at Barnsley, bagging a brace against Huddersfield and rounding off a slick team move at Brentford.
