AFC Bournemouth’s run in the Servio Hampshire Men’s Senior Cup came to an end when they were beaten 3-1 by AFC Totton in the semi-final on Monday.

Dom Sadi’s excellent 25-yard free-kick made it 3-1 but, unfortunately, proved in vain as the Cherries exited the competition at the Snows Stadium.

Sadi’s stunning strike reduced the arrears after the Stags had forged 3-0 ahead thanks to first-half goals from Juan Luque and Scott Rendell and a Luke Hallett effort after the break.

Alan Connell’s team, beaten in last season’s final by Basingstoke Town, overcame Moneyfields, Havant & Waterlooville and Folland Sports to reach the last four.

But it will be Southern Premier League promotion hopefuls AFC Totton, who are managed by Jimmy Ball, son of England 1966 World Cup winner Alan and uncle to Cherries goalkeeper Mack Allan, who will meet either AFC Portchester or Southampton in the final.
