U18s and women get stuck into walking football

AFC Bournemouth held a walking football tournament earlier this month, which saw the under-18s and women’s team take part at Littledown.

Alongside the Cherries’ official walking football side, there was a mix of generations getting stuck in and plenty of fun was had by all.

The club’s walking football partner, Care South, were also in attendance to show their support at the event, which showcased the superb community feel amongst the club.

For supporters wishing to get involved in AFC Bournemouth’s walking football scheme, the below sessions run weekly and encourage anyone to attend.

  • Tuesday: Recreational session / 10.30-11.30am at the Littledown Centre
  • Wednesday: Beginners / 3.30-4.30pm on the Vitality Stadium 3G
  • Wednesday: Women only / 3.30-4.30pm on the Vitality Stadium 3G

The AFC Bournemouth Community Sports Trust also run three walking football teams for the over 50s, 60s and 70s. All teams are sponsored by McCarthy & Stone, with training session details below:

  • Tuesday: Over 50s / 7-8pm on the Vitality Stadium 3G
