AFC Bournemouth's popular half-time Cherries Community Draw gives supporters the chance to win cash prizes while helping the local community through the Cherries Community Fund.
At each home game, supporters can purchase tickets priced at £1 to go into the draw. The more tickets you buy, the more chance you have of winning, with all proceeds going directly into the Cherries Community Fund.
The fund, set up by the club, has provided financial assistance to projects that help to develop young people and vulnerable groups, or those that promote sport and a healthy lifestyle in the area of Dorset.
The fund will be financed from the proceeds of the popular Cherries Community Draw and any other donations the club receives.
Groups can put in applications for up to £2,500 worth of funding, which will then be judged by a four-person panel, comprising of three appointed AFC Bournemouth staff members and a player ambassador.
Our panel currently comprises of Head of Community Steve Cuss, Head of EDI and Engagement Hannah Powis, Communications Officer - Publications Andrew Haines and first-team player Marcus Tavernier.
The panel meet quarterly throughout the year and panels are scheduled in March, June, September and December.
Since 2016, the Cherries Community Fund has donated a huge £235,808 back into the local community.
The Cherries Community Fund will once again be accepting applications and plans to hold a panel in March 2024 to ensure we can give to as many deserving organisations as possible.
