Cherries defender Tyrone Mings was on hand to show his support to both the Community Sports Trust and Kick It Out yesterday.
Mings, a Kick It Out ambassador, was present at a powerchair football session at Victoria Education Centre.
Powerchair football is played by people with disabilities who use power wheelchairs and take part in two teams of four.
The event, put on by the Cherries' Community Sports Trust in conjunction with Kick It Out, saw Kick It Out's Professional Players Engagement Manager Paul Mortimer take part in a Q and A as well as getting in the powerchair himself!
He was joined by Mings who answered questions on his career before getting involved in the session and putting smiles on the participants’ faces.
The 24-year-old said: "These guys come along and support us on a Saturday, so being here to do the same for them is the least I can do and it’s important to give a little bit back.
"It’s really humbling to be here and something that puts into perspective how talented these guys are.
"I’ve never seen Powerchair Football before and I definitely have a new-found appreciation for what they are doing.
"To come down here and witness it first-hand is really impressive, It’s great to come down here, on behalf of the club and Kick It Out, and show support for these young players and put a few smiles on their faces."
