AFC Bournemouth's Community Sports Trust welcomed students from three local secondary schools to Vitality Stadium for a Trailblazers workshop.
As part of Black History Month and the Premier League Inspires No Room for Racism campaign, over 50 students from Glenmoor and Winton Academies, Oak Academy and Priestlands School took part in the session.
The session, which focused on AFC Bournemouth’s Trailblazers (Eddie Parris, Ian Cox, Nathan Ake, Philip Billing, Molly Barron-Clark and Lloyd Kelly), led the students to learn more about the individual’s career highlights and achievements, whilst also celebrating diversity.
Alongside their workshop, the school pupils took part in an exclusive look behind the scenes with a stadium tour, visiting the dressing rooms, pitch and media suite.
The closing part to the workshop focused on learning more about two AFC Bournemouth players specifically, as development squad duo Max Kinsey and Daniel Adu-Adjei dropped in for a question-and-answer session.
The pupils learnt more about their careers to date, their aspirations for the future and their matchday superstitions, as well as having the opportunity to ask their own questions about all things football.
Speaking after the event, Head of Community Steve Cuss told afcb.co.uk: “We were delighted to host a Trialblazers schools’ event at Vitality Stadium.
“The pupils produced some great work in looking at Trialblazers and were delighted to meet Max and Daniel, who we are grateful to in supporting the event.”
