Community Sports Trust return to coaching

AFC Bournemouth’s Community Sports Trust are delighted to making a return to coaching with the introduction of sessions at Slade’s Park from July.

Following government guidelines around social distancing and FA protocol regarding the number of players working with a single coach, the groups will be limited to 20 places and split into four groups of five.

During this time, the sessions will include non-contact ball-each skills and dribbling games, along with non-contact shooting games.

Friday evening will host the first sessions, for boys and girls aged 8-16 years old, with a specific girls-only session also taking place.

Saturday morning sessions are for Minikickers, with Sunday morning hosting two more Minikickers session, a girls-only group and a goalkeepers' training session.

Each session will last 45 minutes and players will be required to book onto eight weeks worth of sessions throughout July and August.

Speaking about the return to coaching, head of community Steve Cuss spoke with afcb.co.uk.

“We are delighted to be able to return to offering coaching in a slow way following government guidelines and FA protocol," he began.

“We are fully aware of the benefits of exercise and football to children and look forward to welcoming the children back to the sessions in July.”

In order to control the number of young people taking part in a session, all places must be booked here. Sessions are offered on a first-come-first-served basis.
