Community Sports Trust Covid-19 Update

After making the decision to suspend all non-school activity earlier this week, we have been working behind the scenes to develop methods and resources for AFC Bournemouth Community Sports Trust to stay in regular contact with you during this time of unprecedented change.

We continue to closely monitor the advice and guidelines from the Government, and can confirm that our regular coaching sessions and other activities will remain suspended for the foreseeable future, following the closures of schools and leisure centres over the past few days.

We do urge you however to continue to check the website (afcb.co.uk) and Community Sports Trust social media channels, Facebook and Twitter, where we will be bringing you ideas, suggestions and resources to help maintain good mental and physical health.

Just some of the things we have already implemented this week, and will be sharing with you all next week include:

- Online chats and support groups: using video conferencing tools we have hosted Community Sports Trust led group chats and individual contact, which has enabled us to continue to bring people together and offer a level of support.

- We have been speaking to schools ahead of their closures, and look to continue to visit school sites where possible to engage with the children of key workers, who will continue to attend next week.

We are delighted to announce that next week we will be launching Primary and Secondary School Education Activity packs through the Website and Social Media, along with activity packs to keep the children learning and busy throughout the school week. We also hope to share Homestay fitness sessions and skill challenge packs too.

Please stay safe and well during this time.
