Cherries stars visit BU for special event

Ryan Christie and Marcos Senesi visited Bournemouth University for their event on adapting to change earlier this week.

They were joined by club legend Steve Fletcher, women’s player Gemma McGuinness, head of community Steve Cuss and president of business Jim Frevola.

The group spoke about their experiences in adapting to change, giving an insight into what it’s like moving to a new country and settling in with new teammates.

Over 100 people were in attendance in the state-of-the-art Fusion Building at Bournemouth University’s Talbot Campus, as the group also discussed the need for resilience in sport and managing a positive work-life balance.

There was a question-and-answer session at the end of the event, as attendees were able to ask more on how the panel had adapted to change in their lives.

AFC Bournemouth would like to thank Bournemouth University for hosting the event. The university serves as the club’s official high education partner and the principle partner of the women’s and girls’ football teams.
