Cherries Community Fund donations reach £100,000

AFC Bournemouth's Cherries Community Fund has recently donated almost £14,000 into the local community in the latest panel of donations.

This takes the total money donated by the fund to over £100,000 since it’s foundation in 2016.

The following donations have been awarded to local causes in the area:

£1,000 donated to Adapt to Perform for a new specialist wheel to attach to Ben’s current wheelchair.

£950 donated to the Wisdom Foundation for their ‘Pen Buddies’ Project

£1,000 donated to Lee Bosley to fund an improved and upgraded wheelchair.

£1,000 donated to Fernheath Play to continue their fantastic work with children around the local area.

£1,000 donated to Footsteps4Cerys, which will help fund Cerys’ operation and aftercare.

£1,000 donated to Hurting2Healing which will fund vital services for 12 months for 1 service user.

£500 given to Street Scene Addiction Recovery to fund their football kits.

£863.56 donated to the Sunday League Men’s team for equipment and kit.

£500 donated to Open House Shaftesbury to give out food parcels and emergency aid to those in need.

£300 will help fund the Umoja Arts Network in their celebrations surrounding Black History Month. 

£800 donated to The Listening Ear project which will provide counselling for young people in crisis.

£1,000 donated to Musica’s Press Play to Rewind project.

£1,000 to Bournemouth Hospital Charity to help fund the purchase of an Extremity MRI Scanner.

£575 to ‘Playmoor Skatemoor’ to help fund their Christmas and October Half Term activities for children around the Turlin Moor area.

£1,000 to Lilliput School to help towards their new sports pitch. 

£1,000 to Brockenhurst College to fund new sporting equipment for the students and local community.

The total donated from this panel is £13,989 meaning an overall total since the fund started of £110,546.14 has been given to worthy causes!
