Harry Arter helped his Cardiff City side secure their first Premier League win of the season as they downed Fulham 4-2 on Saturday.

Arter played 86 minutes of the clash at the Cardiff City Stadium, an entertaining encounter that ended with the Bluebirds doubling their goals tally for the season and moving out of the drop zone.

In Scotland, Emerson Hyndman - a former Rangers loanee - and his Hibernian team were 2-0 down early on away against champions Celtic, but came back to 2-1 and then 3-2 late in the game before eventually losing 4-2 at Celtic Park.

The result drops Hibs to fifth in the Scottish Premiership table, five points below Edinburgh rivals Hearts at the head of the division.

In the Championship, Connor Mahoney started for upwardly-mobile Birmingham City who leapfrogged their Saturday opponents Stoke City with a fine 1-0 away win at the Bet365 Stadium, Che Adams netting the winner.

Winger Mahoney played 62 minutes in the game, moving the Blues up to 14th in the table, seven points above the relegation spots.

Matt Worthington was another starter as Forest Green Rovers put last weekend's first loss of the season behind them with a 1-1 draw at home to Cheltenham Town.

The on-loan central midfielder played 52 minutes of the fixture at the New Lawn.

The club's coverage of its players out on loan is sponsored by Westover Group.
