Club to work closely with Bournemouth BID

Bournemouth Town Centre BID has become a regional supporter of the club.

The partnership will aim to raise the profile of Bournemouth town centre, promoting products and services of local businesses.

The club will be working with the BID for the first time during the 2021/22 season, increasing community engagement for levy payers.

Additionally, the partnership will utilise events and campaigns to build awareness and drive footfall into Bournemouth town centre.

Such events will aim to bring value and commercial gain back to the town after the Covid-19 pandemic stopped the usual high number of visitors coming to Bournemouth last year.

Projects will see matchday initiatives used, while AFC Bournemouth supporters and Junior Cherries will be able to collaborate on projects with the BID.

With the two organisations going into partnership for the first time, commercial and partnerships executive Aysia Smith gave her thoughts to afcb.co.uk.

“We’re delighted to be working with Bournemouth Town Centre BID for the first time.

“It’s a really exciting partnership for us and we’re looking forward to helping drive footfall into the town centre after a tough couple of years.”

The chief operating officer of the BID, Paul Kinvig, also commented.

“We’re really excited about the opportunities working with AFC Bournemouth gives us to promote the town centre and the gift card.

"The club's commitment to the community makes it a natural partner for us to benefit the great businesses in the town centre."
