AFC Bournemouth have been getting behind Safer Internet Day alongside club partner, ESET.
The Community Sports Trust delivered a total of 17 lessons throughout the week, with youngsters educated on how they can stay safe online.
Asmir Begovic made a guest appearance on one workshop, speaking to various goalkeepers and players from community teams such as Ability Counts and those within our girls’ setup.
He shared his experiences both on and off the pitch in an exciting question-and-answer session, which followed an online presentation about internet safety.
Workshops were also provided to local Primary Schools via Zoom, as well as to secondary school pupils who partake in the club’s Premier League Inspires and Premier League Kicks programmes. Additionally, local college students also benefited from the sessions.
Additionally, alongside ESET, who became an official partner of the Community Sports Trust this season, the club shared their top tips for staying safe via social media and produced an online workbook on the subject which could be downloaded from home.
After a successful week of sessions, the club would like to thank cyber security experts, ESET, for their involvement and continued support of the programme.
