Loan Watch: Zeno experiences play-off pressure

Zeno Ibsen Rossi added another string to his bow when he lined up in Kilmarnock’s Scottish Premiership play-off against Dundee on Wednesday.

Ibsen Rossi started and was given a taste of play-off pressure as Killie suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat at Dundee’s Dens Park in an entertaining first leg.

Kilmarnock are bidding to secure a 29th consecutive year in Scotland’s top flight and were condemned to the play-off after finishing second from bottom in the Premiership.

Dundee, who beat Raith Rovers to set up the showdown, made a flying start when Jordan McGhee drew first blood as early as the sixth minute.

And 500 home fans were treated to a second goal when former Stoke midfielder Charlie Adam converted Paul McMullan’s cross early in the second half.

Killie found clear chances hard to come by until Brandon Haunstrup struck to halve the deficit 13 minutes from time, the visitors’ first shot on target.

Defender Ibsen Rossi made his 19th appearance of the season against Dundee and will be hoping to feature for the East Ayrshire club in the second leg at Rugby Park on Monday (7.45pm).
