Loan Watch: Duo impress in senior debuts

Young duo Lewis Brown and Max Kinsey-Wellings delivered impressive performances on their senior debuts for loan club Wimborne Town.

Having departed for the Magpies last week, both the central midfielder and defender were installed straight into the starting line-up for Town’s clash with Evesham United.

The resulting 0-0 draw saw Kinsey-Wellings assist in delivering a clean sheet while Brown was awarded Wimborne’s man of the match award.

Speaking with the club’s Twitter account after the game, he said: “Today was a good experience for me as a second-year scholar, to have played 90 minutes in a men’s game.

“I thought I played really well today; I could have been a bit better in the final third but that will come over time.”

Another Cherries loan duo featured for Poole Town over the weekend, with Daniel Adu-Adjei and Marcus Daws both starting for the Dolphins.

A late equaliser in second-half injury time secured a point for Poole against Met Police on home turf.

The 1-1 draw also saw another man of the match award for a Bournemouth loanee, with Daws picking up the accolade for Town.

Elsewhere, Slough Town’s 4-0 victory over Hungerford Town saw another loan double enjoy a successful weekend.

Will Dennis kept his third National League South clean sheet of the campaign between the sticks, while midfielder Matt Burgess was a second-half substitute
