Gosling's big year for Gunners MATCHDAY

Dan Gosling takes the cover and talks about his eventful year, culminating in the most dramatic of goals, in the programme for Boxing Day.

The midfielder sported a classic Cherries shirt - made famous in the club's first trip to Wembley back in 1998 - as he joined the MATCHDAY team out in the fresh air in Christchurch.

BOXING DAY'S MATCHDAY COMES WITH FREE PANINI FOOTBALL 2020 ALBUMS AND STICKERS ONCE MORE, AND IS A 116-PAGE CHRISTMAS SPECIAL, WHICH INCLUDES ALL THE NEWS FROM VITALITY STADIUM AND THE EXCELLENT EXTRA TIME PULL-OUT FOR YOUNGER FANS, INCLUDING A MEGA DAN GOSLING POSTER TO FOLD-OUT.

The 29-year-old talked through his Chelsea winner, the thoughts running through his head as he created his moment of magic and the power of the Premier League as the world turned its glare on him after the events at Stamford Bridge.

With the last 12 months or so also taking in his wedding, the birth of his second daughter Aria, captaincy and long-term injury, Gosling spoke of a year packed with highs and lows.

Legend Wilson on Christchurch living

With the Gunners arriving on the south coast on Boxing Day, MATCHDAY spoke with Arsenal legend Bob Wilson on his former side's current situation, raising millions for charity and his personal move to living in the local area and developing a soft spot for the Cherries.

Overdoing it at Christmas

While heads and bellies may be sore for supporters waking up on Boxing Day, former Bournemouth Echo sports editor Neil Perrett writes on the Cherries' previous Christmas Day matches, including a team given alcohol ahead of kick-off - with predictably groggy consequences on the pitch!
