First Fan Advisory Board meeting takes place

Following the unanimous approval of the development of a new Premier League Fan Engagement Standard in November 2022, during the summer, AFC Bournemouth set out its commitment to the standard with the launch of its Fan Engagement Plan (FEP).

A new element outlined in the Fan Engagement Plan was the introductory of a Fan Advisory Board (FAB), comprised of representative supporters and nominated senior staff.

The FAB sits at the top of the club’s fan engagement structure with other supporters’ groups such as the Equality Focus Group (EFG) and the Cherries Trust providing nominated representatives to sit on the FAB.

The remit of the FAB is to focus at a strategic level and discuss items such as; heritage assets, facility redevelopment and strategy. Information discussed at the FAB meeting will be cascaded through to all supporter groups by nominated representatives.

The FAB’s initial introductory meeting was held at Vitality Stadium on Thursday 9th November, minutes of which can be found here.
