AFC Bournemouth striker Jermain Defoe has joined Rangers on an 18-month loan deal.
The 36-year-old will remain with the Scottish Premiership club until the summer of 2020, although the Cherries have the option to recall Defoe in either July 2019 or January 2020.
Defoe signed for AFC Bournemouth in July 2017 and has made 34 appearances in his second spell at the club, scoring four goals.
At Rangers he will work under manager Steven Gerrard, who he was an international teammate of during his 57-cap England career, as the high-flying Gers look to secure a first top flight title in eight years.
