AFC Bournemouth defender Charlie Daniels has won the Premier League's Goal of the Month award for August.
Daniels unsurprisingly picked up the August gong - which is sponsored by Carling - for his sensational half-volley against Manchester City in the club's final outing before the international break.
The full-back, who recently signed a new contract with the club, latched onto Vincent Kompany's header to smash a half-volley off the crossbar and in from an improbable angle.
The 31-year-old said of his strike: "All of the lads when I came in said, 'Have you seen your goal yet? It's unbelievable'.
"I didn't actually see it until a little bit after. It was nice. There were some nice angles."
The winning strike was selected from an eight-goal shortlist by a combination of a panel of experts and the public, who voted for their favourite via the Carling Tap and website.
Daniels' goal was also voted as the club's Goal of the Month for August.
