AFC Bournemouth continues support of Green Goals environmental scheme

AFC Bournemouth AFC Bournemouth

Green Goals is a unique partnership that aims to raise environmental awareness, improve the quality of the local environment and benefit the community as a whole.

The Cherries are an official partner of the campaign which also enables community groups within Bournemouth to access funding for a variety of projects.

Projects funded across Bournemouth have included school gardens and allotments, nature projects, litter picking equipment and recycling initiatives.

The club supported Green Goals in its inaugural year last year, with goalkeeper Adam Federici helping the cause with a number of visits, and also becoming the Green Goals ambassador.

AFC Bournemouth commercial director Rob Mitchell said, "Green Goals is helping to have a huge impact on the local environment and it is a great project to be a part of.

"We did some great work with Green Goals last year and Adam Federici was excellent in his role as an ambassador for the cause.

"We are looking for one more commercial partner to support the project. Any interested business can find out more by contacting [email protected]."
