  • Cherries Points scheme Open
What is the Cherries Points scheme?

Cherries Points is a scheme put in place to ensure that supporters who have regularly attended fixtures and bought tickets during the points window can continue to do so.

    How do I accrue points?

When supporters purchase a match ticket, they accrue one Cherries point.

Are there different points for home and away games?

Supporters’ points records are split into home league points, away league points and cup points.

You will be allocated a point for the relevant match that you have attended. For example, if you have attended a home match, you will receive one home point.

    What does total points mean?

A supporters’ Cherries Points total includes points accumulated during the current season and the previous season. Any points accumulated prior to the previous season will not be valid.

Why can I not purchase a ticket without points?

The point scheme is designed to ensure supporters who regularly attend matches get priority of purchasing tickets first.

Supporters who are trying to get their first point should check the club’s on sale schedule to see when games will drop to general sale (dependent on availability). Supporters can also secure their first home point by purchasing and attending other events at Vitality Stadium including preseason friendlies and AFC Bournemouth Women’s matches.

How can I check my points total?

Points total can be checked on the home screen in individual accounts by logging into your ticketing account via online.

Do I get points for all the games I attend?

Points will be awarded for purchasing and attending friendly fixtures, women’s matches or academy/youth team fixtures.

When is my point added to my ticketing account?

All points are added to supporter accounts after Premier League match tickets have been purchased. If tickets are refunded, the corresponding Cherries Point will be removed from the supporter’s account. Other points are added following the attendance of the match.

Can anyone else attend the match if I purchase a ticket on my ticketing account?

Match tickets purchased via the Cherries Points scheme must only be used by the points holder who is named on the ticket. If you purchase a match ticket and are subsequently unable to attend, please see our refund policy.

Do I get points if I am a season ticket holder?

Season ticket holders will accrue home points for all home matches included in their season ticket, however these are only activated in the event of a season ticket being refunded or not being renewed.

Season ticket holders accrue away and cup points in the same way as other supporters and these are active from the time that the match tickets are purchased.

Can I buy a ticket from any other sites online or social media platforms?

It is against the club’s policies to purchase tickets via a non-official channel or on social media platforms. Match tickets purchased elsewhere will not count towards your Cherries Points total. It is a breach of the terms and conditions to sell a match ticket through one of these third-party channels. This could result in disciplinary action and consequences to your ticketing account.

  • Season tickets Open
Can I buy a season ticket?

AFC Bournemouth season tickets are only available to existing season ticket holders, who are renewing for the coming season.

What happens to season tickets that aren't renewed?

When a season ticket is not renewed for the upcoming season, the seat is released for general admission sale on a match-by-match basis.

Do you have a waiting list for season tickets?

There is currently no season ticket waiting list for AFC Bournemouth games.

What happens if I lose my season ticket card?

Season ticket cards that are lost or misplaced will incur a replacement fee of £10.

What if my season ticket card is stolen?

If your season ticket card has been stolen, please provide the club with a Crime Reference Number (CRN), so that your card can be replaced free of charge.

What if I forget my season ticket card?

In circumstances where a supporter has forgotten their ticket, a paper ticket may be issued, however this will incur a small charge at the discretion of the club.

How do I renew my season ticket card?

Your season ticket can be renewed online at tickets.afcb.co.uk, via phone on 01202 726300 (option 1) or in person by coming down to Vitality Stadium.

To assist supporters with renewing their season ticket, please contact the club ticket office at tickets.afcb.co.uk, via phone on 01202 726300 (option 1) or in person by coming down to Vitality Stadium.

Can I move my season ticket seat?

Yes. After you have renewed your season ticket, you will have the opportunity to move your seat in a seat move window shortly after the renewals window is closed.

Can I renew my season ticket after the deadline has passed?

No. If you miss the deadline, you will not be eligible to renew your season ticket and your seat will be released for supporters who book tickets on a match-by-match basis.

Season ticket holders who do not renew their season ticket seat will start the season with the maximum starting home points for match-by-match sales.

Can I change the name of the person on my season ticket?

No. Season tickets can only be renewed and used by the same person as the previous season.

A family member has passed away and as a family we would like to retain the season ticket in the family. Is this possible?

At the appropriate time, please have an immediate family member contact the club ticket office to discuss the options for the season ticket account.

What are the qualifying criteria for season ticket holders to remain within or relocate into the family stand?

The ratio of children to adults is 1:2. That is one child (15 and under) to two adults.

Supporters that no longer qualify are asked to relocate to an alternative location within the stadium. This ensures that we retain the atmosphere of the family area and allow more families to experience this.

What do I do if I no longer want to renew my season ticket?

The system will automatically release your seat for match-by-match sale if you do not renew by the end of the renewal window. Supporters who choose not to renew their season ticket seat will start the season on the maximum starting home points tally.

Do you offer a payment plan for purchasing my season ticket?

We offer a payment instalment plan with no credit check required and no fees. The plan requires a 40% upfront payment, followed by four further automatic payments.

What if I am away during the period of season ticket renewals?

If you are away during the season ticket renewal period, the best option is to renew your season ticket online. If you are unable to renew your season ticket online, you can ask a friend or family member to renew your season ticket. If you choose this option, please supply your friend or family member with all the information requested on your account.

There will be no extension to the season ticket renewal window for supporters who are on holiday during the renewal window.

What do I need to do if I now have to pay a different price type for my season ticket?

If you are moving to a different area of the ground, we ask you to renew your season ticket as you usually would and when it comes to the move we will then be in touch to request the difference or refund the extra paid on the selected seat.

If you are changing price type, your season ticket renewal offer will have already been altered to reflect this.

My child is going to university/ starting a Saturday job, can someone else use the season ticket?

You can upgrade the season ticket at a maximum of five times during a season and season tickets can be used by close friends or family members of the same price type. If you choose to upgrade a season ticket or pass it to a family member or friend, please be aware that the actions of the ticket holder are the responsibility of both the ticket holder, and the season ticket holder whose seat they are using.

Do I need to bring ID?

It is important that all supporters keep their match ticket and a form of ID on them at all times.

In order to safeguard the terms and conditions of purchase and the concession price types offered by the club, it reserves the right to ask for a form of ID to corroborate the ticket purchaser and/or concession price-type purchased.

The club reserves the right to check ID at any time and can refuse to sell, refuse entry, or eject supporters who do not comply with this policy.

What if my ticket doesn't arrive?

Supporters who have ordered tickets for postage and have not received their home match tickets should contact the AFC Bournemouth Ticket Office on 01202 726300 (option 1) no earlier than 48 hours before the match in order to request a duplicate home ticket.

Duplicate tickets must be collected from the ticket office on a matchday with photo ID.

AFCB reserves the right to refuse to issue a duplicate ticket if it feels the circumstances warrant it.

    What are Cherry Tuesdays?

A limited number of seats will be held during the initial on-sale and points drops. Once all tickets are issued, we will release the remaining seats the following Tuesday. These seats will be available to all supporters with 1 or more Cherries Home Points.

Why do you charge a booking fee?

This small charge is in relation to the printing & collating of physical tickets, along with other operational costs incurred by the club. This includes our investment into ticketing technology, hardware, staffing and other associated costs.

    Why haven't I received a confirmation email?
    • We may not have an email address for you.
    • We may have an old email address on file.
    • You may have previously shared an email address with someone else in the system.
  • Away tickets Open
How do I purchase an away ticket?

Match tickets for Premier League away matches are sold subject to the qualifying Cherries Points criteria.

    What are the qualifying criteria?

Qualifying criteria to purchase match tickets is based on the number of away league points a supporter holds.

How do I check my points total online?

A supporter’s points total can be checked on the homepage when logging into your ticketing account at tickets.afcb.co.uk.

How often are the points criteria decreased?

Once a game has gone on sale, the qualifying points criteria is decreased every Thursday, Sunday and Tuesday until all available tickets have been issued.

Where can I find points criteria for the upcoming fixtures?

The qualifying points criteria for upcoming away league matches can be found via our on-sale schedule on the club's website.

What are the Premier League rules and processes for offering an away end allocation?

The host club offers options for an initial away end allocation based on the maximum allocation available or the projected demand for AFC Bournemouth supporters to purchase for that fixture. The visiting club is eligible to receive up to 3,000 tickets (or 10% of the stadium capacity if total capacity is less than 30,000). Data points utilised by AFC Bournemouth to forecast demand include pre-season surveys, point drop activity in past seasons, match date and time, and more. The home club determines the selling order of seating blocks allocated to the visiting club.

Per Premier League rules, a final allocation must be selected by AFC Bournemouth no later than four weeks prior to the match date. If sales demand for a fixture does not meet a pace determined by the club to cover all seating AFC Bournemouth is committed to purchasing as part of an allocation, the final allocation can be reduced. This step also helps reduce the volume of home supporters attempting to secure tickets in the AFC Bournemouth away end during general sale.

    What are concessionary tickets?

Concessionary match tickets are only to be used by those supporters who meet the qualifying criteria for the relevant concession of the hosting club.

If a supporter is found to have misused concession tickets, they may be refused entry to the ground or have their tickets cancelled.

Supporters who misuse concession tickets will be subject to the sanctions detailed in the ‘Anti-Touting and Ticket Misuse’ section of the ticketing policy.

Can I sit on my own on the coach if I am under the age of 16?

For away fixtures, supporters under the age of 16 must be accompanied by and seated with a responsible adult over the age of 18; the same rule applies to away coach travel.

    Will there be ID Checks?

In order to safeguard the terms and conditions of purchase and the concession price types offered by the club, it reserves the right to ask for a form of ID upon entry to the ground and at any point once inside the ground.

It is important that all supporters keep their match ticket and a form of ID on them at all times. The club reserves the right to refuse to sell, refuse entry, or eject supporters who do not comply with this policy.

What if I haven’t received my away match tickets?

Supporters who have not received their away match tickets should contact the AFC Bournemouth Ticket Office on 01202 726300 (option 1) no earlier than 48 hours before the match in order to request a duplicate away ticket.

The AFC Bournemouth ticket office will send any duplicate requests to the home club and a duplicate away match ticket will be available for collection from the home club’s ticket office.

What do I need to bring when collecting an away ticket?

Any supporter who is collecting an away duplicate ticket should attend the home club’s ticket office on the day of the match with photographic ID in order to collect their replacement tickets.

What if I forget to inform the AFC Bournemouth ticketing team about a replacement ticket?

Supporters who have not received or have lost their away ticket and have not been able to report this to the AFC Bournemouth ticket office in advance of the matchday, should visit the home club’s ticket office with photographic ID and proof of purchase. The home club will then contact the AFC Bournemouth ticket office team who will assist them in providing replacement match tickets.

Either club reserves the right to refuse to issue a duplicate ticket if it feels the circumstances warrant it.

Can I get a refund for an away ticket?

Away match ticket refunds can be made at the AFC Bournemouth ticket office, providing the match tickets are returned no later than 5 days prior to the match (example: by Monday at 3pm for a match taking place Saturday at 3pm). After this deadline, the club regrets that tickets cannot be refunded.

You are required to know your order number and supporter number when requesting for a refund.

Do I need to return my ticket for a refund?

Yes. Refunds can only be made on production of the match ticket. Evidence of destroyed match tickets will not be accepted.

Where should I look for coach timings?

Please keep up to date with the club website for all the latest away ticketing information which will contain the coach pick up locations and timings.

  • Refunds and returns Open

Away match ticket refunds can be made at the AFC Bournemouth ticket office, providing the match tickets are returned no later than 5 days prior to the match (example: by Monday at 3pm for a match taking place Saturday at 3pm). Do I need to provide a ticket to receive a refund?

Refunds can only be made on production of the match ticket. Evidence of destroyed match tickets will not be accepted.

What happens to a ticket after a refund is processed?

Once a ticket has been refunded or reprinted, the original ticket is cancelled and cannot be used to gain entry to the stadium.

    Can I buy returned tickets?

Yes, any returned tickets will go back on sale.

Any home or away tickets returned to the club after a fixture has all available tickets issued will usually be made available within 48 hours before a weekend fixture or the Monday before a mid-week fixture. This is subject to the club’s discretion.

The ticket points criteria for the returned tickets sale will be published on the club’s social media platforms and all returned general admission tickets are made available for sale online only.

If supporters are unable to use the club’s online ticketing system, they can ask to be registered to book returned tickets in person or over the phone at the discretion of the club. This needs to be arranged at least 24 hours prior to returned tickets going on sale.

  • Getting to Vitality Stadium Open
    What is the stadium's address?

    The stadium’s full address is:

    AFC Bournemouth
    Vitality Stadium
    Dean Court
    Kings Park
    BH7 7AF

    Can I use public transport?

The ground is within walking distance of both Bournemouth and Pokesdown train stations, as well as being serviced by buses.

Supporters are also able to walk from Boscombe and Lansdowne, where there are a variety of shops, bars and restaurants.

More details about accessing the ground from the Bournemouth direction can be found below.

Public transport from Bournemouth Town Centre:

    Train

A large majority of trains arrive at Bournemouth Central Train Station, which is accessible to wheelchair users.

Leave the station by the south exit (facing Asda) and turn left to head towards the main road. Turn left again and walk straight up Holdenhurst Road for around 25 minutes, until you reach a roundabout at which you turn right into Kings Park Drive. The ground is on the left.

    Bus (P2-P3)

The P2 and P3 Yellow Bus service is easily accessible from the train station and runs up to every 20 minutes.

It can be picked up at Bournemouth Railway Station, Stop 6 (going in the Christchurch direction) and you can get off at Queens Park Hotel, which will be a total of six stops. It will then be a five-minute walk, going along Ashley Road and then going through Kings Park.

If you want to make a day out of your trip, then this bus also serves Bournemouth Pier and Bournemouth Square, where you can find plenty of shops and places to eat and drink before heading to the ground.

    Bus (M2)

The M2 buses run every 7-10 minutes, so it's never too long to wait and drop off in Boscombe, which is just a short walk to the stadium.

    Public transport from Boscombe:

    Train

The nearest train station to the stadium is Pokesdown, which is roughly a mile from the ground and around a 15-minute walk away. This station is not currently accessible for wheelchair users.

Exit the station and turn right down Christchurch Road (A35) for 400m and turn right into Gloucester Road. Follow signs for Kings Park to arrive at Vitality Stadium.

    Bus (P2-P3)

This station is also served by the P2 and P3 Yellow Bus, which runs up to every 20 minutes. You will get on at Pokesdown station and get off at Kings Park, heading in the Bournemouth direction. This service will also take you to Bournemouth (see above).

    Bus (M1-M2)

The M1/M2 More Bus service runs from Pokesdown Station and brings supporters closer to the stadium via Boscombe.

Where is the best place to park?

Parking is available to the south of the ground. This is a BCP operated car park where charges apply 24/7.

    Avonbourne Academy

For free parking just a ten-minute walk from the ground, Avonbourne Academies are open three hours prior to kick-off on weekends and one hour, 45 minutes before kick off on weekday matches.

Supporters both home and away will be able to use the facility.

This area has the advantage of being away from the congestion around Kings Park, while only a short walk to Vitality Stadium, allowing easier access.

    Sovereign Shopping Centre

Alternative parking can be found at Sovereign Shopping Centre on Christchurch Road which is approximately at 15-minute walk from the ground. Parking is £2 for four hours.

Parking on the roads next to the stadium

Several residential roads adjacent to the ground have parking restrictions, which the club asks supporters to adhere to. Where these do not exist, please be mindful of existing drive entrances and avoid parking illegally or unsafely.

Enforcement officers are active on matchdays and the club is determined to ensure matches impact local residents as little as possible.

Please be aware that roadworks are back underway on the A338, which may cause delays, so plan your journey accordingly.

    When do turnstiles open?

Turnstiles open 90 minutes before kick-off, allowing access to the concourse, serving food and drink and toilet facilities to use.

Click here to view a full plan of Vitality Stadium.

    Where do visiting fans sit?

Visiting fans are sat in Blocks 21, 22, 23 and 24 of the East Stand, which can be accessed through Turnstile F.

  • Accessible ticketing Open
What accessible ticketing options does the club provide?

AFC Bournemouth offer wheelchair and ambulant disabled accessible tickets and is committed to ensuring that football is accessible to all.

In order to purchase accessible tickets supporters must provide proof of eligibility to the club.

What proof do I need to provide?

AFC Bournemouth accepts the following as proof of eligibility:

► Receipt of the higher or middle rate of Disability Living Allowance (mobility and/or care component).

► Receipt of standard or enhanced rate of Personal Independence Payment (PIP) for mobility, and/or care.

► Receipt of either Severe Disablement Allowance or Attendance Allowance.

► War Pensioners’ Mobility Allowance or War or Service Disablement pension for 80% or more disability.

► Blind or partially sighted registration certificate (BD8 or CV1 certificate) or evidence from an eye specialist, for example an optometrist, that the individual would qualify to be registered as severely sight impaired (blind) or sigh impaired (partially sighted).

Further advice can be found on the Royal National Institute of Blind people (RNIB) website.

► Please note that receipt of a “Blue Badge” will not be considered as eligibility for booking tickets.

This list is not exhaustive, and consideration will be given to any other evidence that can be provided.

How can I submit my proof of eligibility?

Supporters can submit their proof of eligibility in person at the ticket office or via email to [email protected] or [email protected].

    How to book tickets?

Once supporters have eligibility, they will be able to purchase accessible match tickets in person, over the phone or online at the ticketing website.

How much is a wheelchair ticket?

Supporters who require a wheelchair space can purchase a space for between £4 and £7 depending on the game with a complimentary personal assistant ticket.

How much is a ticket for an ambulant disabled supporter?

Ambulant Disabled supporters should pay the appropriate rate for their ticket and are entitled to a complimentary personal assistant ticket where the disabled supporter has eligibility.

I cannot access accessible price types online. What should I do?

If you have registered your eligibility with the club and you are unable to access the accessible price-types, please contact the ticketing team who will be to assist and update your ticketing account with the most recent accessible key.

How do I register a personal assistant?

Disabled supporters can choose to have a personal assistant account created for them in their name or nominate an account holder as their personal assistant.

In instances where an account holder has been nominated as a personal assistant, the club reserves the right to remove points from the account holder if the personal assistant system is being abused.

When booking tickets, a nominated personal assistant does not require Cherries Points in order to book their ticket as long as they are attending in their capacity as a personal assistant.

If a disabled supporter cannot attend games or chooses to stop attending, the personal assistant will retain the points that they have accrued whilst attending as a personal assistant.

If you are issued a personal assistant ticket, your ticket must be scanned for entry at the same time as the ticket for the disabled supporter. The personal assistant ticket is issued to assist the disabled supporter and therefore the personal assistant should be with the disabled supporter on entry to the stadium.

  • The Family Stand Open
    Where is the Family Stand?

The Family Stand is applicable to Blocks 8 and 9 in the Vitality Main Stand.

Who can purchase a ticket in the Family Stand?

Supporters with an adult ticket in the Family Stand must be accompanied by an under-16 in order to purchase tickets in the area (at a ratio of no more than two adult seats per under-16s seat).

Can you upgrade a child ticket to an adult in the Family Stand?

Yes, if a child has a season ticket in the Family Stand, this can be upgraded to an adult's seat five times across the season at the discretion of the club. This will be at full adult price.

Where a match is moved to a weekday evening for TV, the club may, at its discretion, allow an additional upgrade in the family area.

What happens when a Junior Cherry turns 16?

When a Junior Cherry turns 16 and stops qualifying for a child’s ticket in the Family Stand, they can remain seated there if the family group still falls within the ratio of no more than two adults per child.

In circumstances where the change in concession takes the ratio outside the family stand criteria, the club will work with the affected family to move them to another area in the stadium that is acceptable before releasing the family stand seats for sale.

What happens with children under the age of three?

A Junior Cherry under the age of three does not require a match ticket to enter the ground as long as they do not require their own seat and can sit with a parent or guardian.

To make use of this option, supporters must phone the ticket office and inform them that the child will be attending the game in advance of the fixture.

Supporters must then collect the pass for their infant from the ticket office on the day of the game, with the child in attendance.

It is advised that any supporter bringing an under-3 with them to an AFC Bournemouth fixture sits in the Family Stand and is aware of the risk of a ball entering the stands unexpectedly.

Points for Junior Cherries who are under three cannot be applied after the game or retrospectively for games that have passed unless the above process has been followed or at the club’s discretion.

Is there an age limit for games?

Supporters under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a responsible adult over the age of 18 when visiting Vitality Stadium.

For away fixtures, supporters under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult over the age of 18. The same rule applies to away coach travel.

  • Resale platform Open
What is the season ticket resale platform?

This is the office AFC Bournemouth resale platform where the price of tickets is never more than the original adult face value. It was set up to counter the profiteering resale sites which encourage ticket touting.

Who can sell their seats on the resale platform?

The resale platform is only available for season ticket holders to sell their seat back to the club who will release the seat for general admission; these can then be purchased by AFC Bournemouth supporters with home Cherries points.

If I Sell my season ticket seat on the resale platform, how do I get my money?

When you successfully sell your seat via the resale platform, you will be paid 1/19th of your season ticket price by bank transfer, to the bank account you have requested, five days after the game has been played.

Why can’t I sell my match ticket via the resale platform?

The resale platform is for season ticket holders only to sell.

If you have purchased a match ticket and you are unable to attend the game, the club offers a full refund up until 48 hours before kick-off if the ticket is returned to the ticketing team.

Will I lose my point if I sell my seat on the resale platform?

If you sell your season ticket seat via the resale platform, you will lose one home point. However, this will only become relevant if you do not renew your season ticket.

Will this mean there are fewer tickets available via the Friday morning tickets returns sale?

The resale platform will be in addition to the returns sale and will help reduce the number of empty seats on a matchday that season ticket holders have been unable to use.
