Sian Tilly

Position:
Midfielder
Date of birth:
30th April 1988
Nationality:
English
Previous clubs:
Wimborne

As one of the most experienced members of the Cherries squad, captain Sian Tilly is deep into her second spell with the club.

The midfielder started her career with AFC Bournemouth over ten years ago, playing her first competitive matches with the side before a spell away. Now in her fourth season back with Steve Cuss’ squad, she is an integral member of the team.

During the 2016/17 season, Tilly made 23 appearances over the course of the campaign, winning one Player of the Match award and netting one goal as she captained the side to promotion and cup victory.

The following season was a similar story, with Tilly making the joint highest number of appearances in the squad, as the Cherries then won promotion to the Southern Region Women’s Premier League.

Another cup success followed in 2018/19, but the side narrowly missed out on a third promotion in as many years, finishing second in the league with Tilly once again captaining the side and not missing a single game.
