Hannah Bennett is into her seventh year with AFC Bournemouth Women after signing for the club in 2014.

The midfielder was handed the captain's armband at the start of the 2019/20 campaign and has taken the role in her stride, leading the team to top spot in the Southern Region Women's Premier League before the season was halted due to the Covid-19 outbreak.

Bennett's consistency doesn't go unnoticed, after she finished the previous season as the club's leading appearance-maker, also popping up with 14 goals in all competitions as the Cherries won the Chairman's Cup.

The past 12 months have been a little disrupted, with the season again not being completed due to the pandemic.

However, the former Bournemouth University student led the team to the first round proper of the FA Cup for just the second time in the club’s history and won her fourth promotion with the club when the side’s application of upward movement was successful in May.

As a result, Bennett now currently captains the side in their first National League season.
