Striker Tyrell Hamilton joined the Cherries academy ranks in 2018 following a successful trial spell.

Previously on the books at Birmingham City, he was born in St Elizabeth, Jamaica.

He attended Hamstead Hall Academy in Handsworth Wood and was close friends with Demarai Gray during their time together at St Andrew’s.

Hamilton has trained with Eddie Howe’s squad and was involved in a behind-closed-doors first-team friendly against Reading in 2019.

He also had a loan spell with Southern Premier South Salisbury in 2018/19.

Hamilton, who excelled at athletics as a youngster, signed a new contract with the club in the summer of 2019.

He was a regular for Shaun Cooper’s under-21s during the first half of the 2019/20 season and netted in the Hampshire Senior Cup third-round win at Farnborough in December 2019.

On transfer deadline day in January 2020, Hamilton joined Southern Premier South outfit Gosport Borough on loan until the end of the 2019/20 season.
