Manchester-born Shaun Hobson joined the Cherries in 2016 after impressing during a trial.
He moved to Vitality Stadium following his release by Burnley and has been an integral part of the club’s under-21 squad.
Hobson has gained valuable experience during loan spells with Eastbourne Borough, Chester, Eastleigh and Weymouth.
He made 13 appearances in the National League for Chester in 2017/18 and scored one goal in eight games for Eastleigh in the fifth tier in 2018/19.
Hobson linked up with under-21 assistant coach Mark Molesley at National South Weymouth for the start of the 2019/20 campaign.
He was named in the Cherries matchday squad for the FA Cup third round replay defeat at Wigan Athletic in January 2018 and has also featured in pre-season friendlies for the first team.
As a youngster, Hobson played for Fletcher Moss Rangers and was a team-mate of Manchester United and England striker Marcus Rashford at the Manchester-based youth football club.
Shrewsbury Town defender Ro-Shaun Williams was another team-mate of Hobson’s at the club which also produced Jesse Lingard and Danny Welbeck.
Hobson signed a one-year contract extension at the start of 2019/20.
