Ollie Camis

Position:
Goalkeeper
Date of birth:
17th February 2005
Nationality:
English
Previous clubs:
Chelsea

Born in Chertsey in Surrey, goalkeeper Camis spent seven years with Chelsea before joining the Cherries at under-15 level.

Inspired by Manchester United and Spain goalkeeper David de Gea, Camis has the position in his blood with his father David also playing between the sticks and now on hand to provide his son with help and advice.

He qualifies to play for Wales through his mother and has trained with the Welsh squads from under-13s.

In November 2021, he started against a highly-regarded Portugal team in Wales’s second 2022 Under-17 European Championship qualifier in the Algarve. He was also in the squad for qualifiers against Ukraine and Kazakhstan.

Camis started all three games as the Cherries reached the fifth round of the FA Youth Cup in 2021/22, keeping clean sheets in 2-0 wins against Exeter City and QPR in the third and fourth rounds.

He kept another clean sheet on his debut for the development squad in a 1-0 victory against Southampton in the Premier League Cup in January 2022.
