Versatile central defender Kinsey-Wellings joined the AFC Bournemouth academy in the summer of 2021 following his release by Southampton.

He started playing football when he was eight and spent a year with Chelsea when he was 10 before moving to Southampton where he spent six years.

Although he did not get offered a scholarship by Southampton, a host of clubs were interested in him and he was snapped up by the Cherries in July 2021.

He chose the Cherries despite also being offered terms by Sheffield Wednesday.

Born and raised in Guildford, he qualifies for Republic of Ireland through his grandfather.

Between the ages of 11 and 13, Kinsey-Wellings attended boarding school to be closer to the Southampton training ground.

His father played football to a good level but, unfortunately, injury held him back, while his uncle Lewis Tucker played for Aldershot.
