Joe Roach spent a number of years heading up the academy at AFC Bournemouth before becoming head of player progression in May 2022.
He first joined the club in 2001 and was responsible for building firm foundations in the youth department with a small band of staff.
As head of youth, Roach also helped run the reserve team and acted as caretaker-manager for the first team following the departure of Kevin Bond in 2008.
He left to take up a position with the Premier League in 2011 before returning as academy manager in 2014.
Roach has overseen the development of a host of players including Sam Vokes, Danny Ings, Brett Pitman, Joe Partington and Baily Cargill, the first academy graduate to feature in the Premier League for the club.
Joe was rewarded for his hard work at the 2016/17 end-of-season awards when he received the special recognition award.
