Jordan Zemura has made excellent progress at Vitality Stadium since joining the club following a successful trial spell at the end of the 2018/19 season.
The left-back was initially part of the Cherries development squad under Shaun Cooper but was soon elevated to the first-team ranks.
His first taste of action with the first team came when he made a substitute appearance in a 3-0 win over Lyon in a pre-season friendly at Vitality Stadium in August 2019.
Zemura was one of two ever presents as the Cherries topped their group to reach the last 16 of the Premier League Cup in 2019/20, the competition eventually curtailed due to the Covid pandemic.
Rewarded with a new contract in July 2020, Zemura came off the bench in the Cherries' two pre-season friendlies in 2020 against Benfica and West Ham.
He made his debut when he started in the second round of the Carabao Cup against Premier League Crystal Palace and scored in a penalty shootout as the Cherries prevailed 11-10.
Zemura came off the bench in the third-round defeat at Manchester City before making his league debut as a late substitute in a 5-0 win over Huddersfield Town in December 2020.
He started the FA Cup third-round win over Oldham Athletic and made a substitute appearance during a 1-0 defeat at Wycombe towards the end of the 2020/21 campaign.
Zemura hit the ground running at the start of 2021/22, capping a memorable first few games by winning the supporters’ player-of-the-month award for August.
He came off the bench during the Carabao Cup first-round win over MK Dons before being handed his full league debut during the season curtain-raiser against West Bromwich Albion and having a hand in Phil Billing's goal in the 2-2 draw with the Baggies.
He kept his place as the Cherries remained unbeaten in August and played his part in wins over Nottingham Forest and Birmingham City and draws against Blackpool and Hull City.
Born in London and schooled at the Oasis Academy Isle of Sheppey, Zemura qualifies for Zimbabwe through his parents and made his international debut in November 2020 in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Algeria. He won his second cap against the same opposition four days later.
In January 2022, Zemura made his international competition debut, appearing twice for Zimbabwe in the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon. The full-back played in the defeat to Malawi and the win over Guinea but couldn't prevent Zimbabwe being eliminated from the group stage.
On the books of QPR and Charlton Athletic as a youngster, Zemura also represented his county at athletics and studied sports science at Canterbury University.
