Central defender Owen Bevan has made eye-catching progress since joining the club as a nine-year-old.
He was appointed captain of AFC Bournemouth under-18s ahead of the start of the 2021/22 season and successfully graduated to the development squad for 2022/23, training regularly with the first-team squad.
Bevan progressed through the academy ranks and earned a two-year scholarship, which started in 2020.
Born in Winchester, he qualifies for Wales through his mother and has been capped at under-16, under-17, under-19 and under-21 level.
Originally a central midfielder, he was converted to a central defender when he was 14 and has revelled in the position.
In March 2021, Bevan was rewarded for his exploits with a first professional contract which will kick in following the end of his scholarship.
Bevan enjoyed a successful 2020/21 campaign which saw him make a number of appearances for the Cherries development squad.
And in pre-season 2021, he spent nine weeks working with the first-team squad and joined them on training camp in Marbella, featured in the friendly against Real Balompedica Linense.
Bevan was raised in Fair Oak near Eastleigh and attended Wyvern College. He also played youth football for Colden Common.
His older brother Taylor Bevan was crowned English Amateur Boxing champion in 2018 and competed at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, while his father Lester is a boxing coach.
Bevan captained the Cherries as they reached the fifth round of the FA Youth Cup in 2021/22 and also skippered them to the EFL Youth Alliance title.
In January 2022, he joined Southern Premier South outfit Truro City on a work experience loan.
Bevan made 16 appearances for the White Tigers and netted once. He also helped the Cornish club keep no fewer than ten clean sheets.
He was again invited to join the first team on their pre-season training camp in Portugal in July 2022.
Bevan featured for the Cherries in their 2-1 defeat by Real Sociedad in a pre-season friendly at Vitality Stadium in July 2022.
And he made his Premier League debut when he came off the bench during the defeat by Liverpool at Anfield in August 2022.
Bevan joined Yeovil Town on loan on transfer deadline day in September 2022, making his National League debut in their 1-1 draw against Eastleigh.
In September 2022, he made his debut for Wales under-21s in a friendly against Austria in Vienna.
