Born in Yeovil, Brooklyn Genesini attended Bucklers Mead Academy and played with the Brazil Soccer School between the ages of six and nine.
When he was eight, he had a life-threatening injury after a steel goal frame fell on his head, forcing it on to a concrete floor. It gave him a lump on his head the size of two golf balls.
Predominantly employed as a right-back or right wing-back, he was one of the most consistent performers as the club's under-18s were crowned EFL Youth Alliance South West champions.
In 2018/19, he helped the under-18s reach the quarter-final of the FA Youth Cup and started for the under-21s in their first Central League Cup final win over Notts County.
In January 2020 Genesini was named as a substitute in the club’s fourth round FA Cup tie against Arsenal but has yet to make his senior debut.
The 19-year-old defender signed a new contract in the summer of 2021, after helping the under-21s to the Hampshire Senior Cup and a second Central League Cup two months before.
