Women back in action this month

AFC Bournemouth Women will return to action later this month, with their season having been temporarily halted due to Covid-19 restrictions.

The FA revealed that 'non-elite' football in England would be suspended from Thursday 5th November until Wednesday 2nd December following the UK Government's lockdown announcement.

However, Steve Cuss' side will now resume training this week and get their season back underway on Sunday 13th December, with a mouth-watering FA Cup tie at Verwood Town against local rivals, Southampton.

The Cherries had begun their 2020/21 campaign in fine form, having won five games in a row to reach the FA Cup first round proper for just the second time in the club's history.

Additionally, they won their opening league game 11-0 away at Oxford City, a result they'll be looking to build upon in their return to league action on Sunday 20th December, Abingdon United the visitors to Dorset that day.
