AFC Bournemouth maintained their National League promotion push thanks to a convincing 6-0 victory over Abingdon United on Sunday.

The Cherries extended to 13 games their unbeaten run in Division One South West courtesy of three goals either side of half-time.

Lucy Cooper took her personal tally for the season to 17 with a quickfire double in the first half before Katie James headed home the third in the 39th minute.

Among the crowd to see Cooper net twice were her parents Rich and Niccy, the teenage striker dedicating her goals to her mum on Mother's Day.

Alisha Buckingham netted twice in as many minutes at the start of the second half before supplying the free-kick which saw Erin Bloomfield complete the scoring with a header.

The win kept Steve Cuss’s team nine points behind leaders Exeter City but with three games in hand on the Grecians, the Devon outfit winning 5-0 against Maidenhead United.
